Over To You: Survivors' Network launches new kitemark for local businesses and organisations

International Women's Day 2018 marks the start of the OverToYou Kitemark issued by Survivors' Network. Looking to turn the #MeToo movement into further palpable change, the organisation has created a pledge for local businesses and organisations to sign up to in order to demonstrate the active work they are undertaking to challenge sexual harassment and violence in the workplace. 

Prominent local community members Caroline Lucas (Co-Leader of the Green Party of England and Wales) and Sarah Springford (Director of the Brighton & Hove Chamber of Commerce) have signed a letter in support of

Women who work and volunteer in the Rape Crisis movement are among signatories to an activists' letter of unity released on Sunday 18th February, in solidarity with 200 women from the entertainment industry as they launched their Time's Up UK campaign to coincide with the BAFTAs. 

 

“For each woman in the entertainment industry who has spoken out, there are thousands of women whose stories go unheard …

 

These are not isolated incidents. This is about power and inequality; and it is systemic.
