DropIn
The DropIn service is an open confidential space for women (18+) who have experienced childhood sexual abuse.
When: Every Thursday evening except the 2nd Thursday of the month
Time: 7pm-9pm
Where: Central Brighton. Please contact us by email, dropin@survivorsnetwork.org.uk or call 01273 203380 for the exact location
If you are new or feel nervous about attending, one of our volunteers can meet you at the door and bring you into the dropIn. You
can also bring a female supporter with you on your first visit.
The DropIn is a safe, welcoming, women only space, where you can:
- meet with other women who have experienced childhood sexual abuse and share coping strategies and form friendships that can support you across your life
- access the support of our specially trained female workers who will facilitate the group to ensure everyone’s safety
- borrow books, pick up information and search the Internet.
Refreshments are provided.
When we were talking to our service users many would tell us that they knew that many women are abused as children but that they very rarely met them in their lives.
As one service user put it:
“The DropIn makes me feel less lonely”
If you need directions to the DropIn or would like additional information about the way the service runs please contact us dropin@survivorsnetwork.org.uk or call 01273 203380.
