Events

The Survivors' Network Volunteer Events Committee actively work to raise the profile of the organisation at various events around the city of Brighton and Hove. This means that we can take information about our charity to a large number of people so that they know what services we offer and how to access them. It is also a great opportunity to meet and recruit new volunteers.

Survivors' Network Birthday - 25th November 2011

Survivors’ Network held an evening event to celebrate 21 years of working as Brighton and Hove’s Specialist Rape and sexual abuse centre. We debated the question:

How much can, and should, men be involved in the campaign to end sexual violence against women?

Download a copy of the briefing from the evening.

Speakers: Davina James-Harman: Director of AVA, Holly Dustin: Manager of the End Violence against Women Coalition, Glen Poole: Strategic Director for the Men’s Network, Colin Fitzgeral: Assessor for RESPECT

Pride

This year we have attended Peoples Day and most recently Pride 2011 to show that we support all survivors of rape and sexual abuse, no matter what your sexual orientation is.

Here are some photos from Pride 2011 where 21 of our volunteers walked in the parade to support our organisation and also the work of the LGBT community in Brighton and Hove.
